Sacred Valley – 5 Sites

The full Sacred Valley experience in one day: Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Maras, Moray and Chinchero. Archaeological sites, ancient salt pans, circular farming terraces and traditional villages.

The tour leaves Cusco and starts in Pisac, with its archaeological site, terraces and local market. From there it continues to Ollantaytambo, an Inca fortress among terraces and temples, and then stops for lunch in Urubamba. In the afternoon, the group visits Maras, with thousands of salt pans carved into the mountainside and in use since Inca times, and Moray, a site of circular terraces that looks like an amphitheater and served the Incas as a kind of agricultural laboratory. Finally, the group stops in Chinchero, a village at about 3,700 meters with Inca remains, a colonial church and traditional weaving. The group returns to Cusco in the early evening.
